"To encourage our children to explore their creative gifts by giving them the hands-on opportunity to
express themselves through art."
Our mission reflects the encouragement, inspiration, and love that Angela had for
children, especially her own. She was a wonderful, loving mother and teacher, always
challenging her own children to explore their imaginations through music, literature,
and especially art. She proudly displayed their latest writings, poems, drawings,
and inventions throughout her home, and was always quick to point to them and excitedly
ask, 'Can you believe my babies made that?!'
Angela recognized that art was fundamental to her children's development, especially
as
an outlet for self expression and as a compliment to their unique personalities.
In recognizing the healthy impression that Angela left on her own children's lives,
the Foundation encourages all children to explore their imaginations through art.
When a child creates a piece of art, their accomplishment
helps to define their senses of self esteem, self identity, self importance, and
individuality.
These values help to establish a child's strong sense of self worth
and importance to society. By recognizing and encouraging a child's artistic talent, we can help set the foundations for their future, our community,
society, and humanity at large.
